Coming full circle to make a London homecoming for its 10th anniversary, Gwyneth Paltrow’s luxury lifestyle brand goop – which evolved from humble beginnings as an email newsletter, sent from the kitchen table of her West London home – lands in Notting Hill, in a space that celebrates Californian design and way of life.

Stocking a range of carefully curated products that span all pillars of wellbeing, including skincare and wellness (some of which are goop’s own-brand developed by Juice Beauty), plus its lauded womenswear and activewear offerings, the Pop-Up arrives as a holistic hub for the modern woman.

A day before it opens to the public, we paid a preview trip to the store, to report back on the pieces that are worth making a dash for...

goop – Exfoliating Instant Facial
In our 100mph realities, an instant facial (we’re talking 180 seconds) doesn’t half sound appealing – and this need for efficiency is exactly what guru Gwynnie thought to cater to with her Exfoliating Instant Facial. Keeping things clean, the concoction marries natural alpha and beta hydroxy acids with plant-based cellulose beads to exfoliate and shred dead cells with zero irritation… Skin feels supple, soft and in its very best form when used twice weekly.

goop – Luminous Melting Cleanser
Removing the day’s makeup becomes less of a laborious chore and all the more luxury with goop’s specially developed Luminous Melting Cleanser, which offers a sumptuous aromatic self-care moment first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Blending almond, olive and coconut oils with shea and cocoa seed butters to even skin tone and minimise the appearance of fine lines on top of its primary function, it comes as no surprise to learn that it picked up Allure’s Best of Beauty Award in 2016.

Lavett and Chin – Black Spruce Hair Wash and Daily Conditioner
If you’re yet to hear about Lavett and Chin’s all-natural hair formulas, you’re in for a treat! Plant-powered with the finest ingredients, this hair wash and conditioning pair not only guarantee squeaky-clean and smooth tresses, but they work with the hair’s natural oils (ensuring that they won’t knock it off balance) to stimulate the follicles and make way for stronger and longer locks.

French Girl – Neroli Eye Serum
Going by the Gallic girls we’ve spotlighted of late – and if the brand’s moniker is any indication – we’re fully down for transforming into a French mademoiselle via a miracle essential oil elixir. Delivering micronutrients and oils rich in fatty acids like chia and tamanu through a cooling rollerball, this gentle blend gets deep into the delicate tissues around the eyes to ease up inflammation, and help you to stay woke.
