Chanel has announced it will launch Cometes Collective, curating a group of young talents from across the world who have been working to re-define the beauty space, to create new collections with exciting perspectives. Amy Drammeh, Cécile Paravina and Valentina Li will be working at the heart of the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio to develop new colours and ranges stemming from each of their visions on beauty, reinterpreting Chanel’s beauty ethos in the process.

Amy Drammeh channels her mixed Gambian and Spanish heritage into a creative aesthetic that reinterprets the classics with a twist. Alongside fellow Comete Cécile Paravina, she is a British Fashion Council “New Waves Creative’ recipient. Cécile’s approach to beauty pushes the envelope by bringing together her knowledge of fashion and art history alongside razor-sharp technical ability. Valentina Li studied makeup both in Beijing and Paris, forging a whimsical and futurist vision of beauty bathed in colour—all brought together with a sophisticated sense of nuance.

Gabrielle Chanel’s honed definition of what she thought to be beautiful remains key to the identity of the French House’s beauty offering: A classic red lip, gorgeous skin and an insouciant cat eye have been the mainstays of defining  Chanel’s place at the heart of French style. Working on their own collections and collaborative releases, Cometes Collective’s inaugural group of artists will drive the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio to offer a truly diverse set of feminine narratives.

Chanel will be launching its first Cometes Collective collections in January of 2024 so be on the lookout!
