Heartthrob Timothée Chalamet first captured our imagination in Luca Guadagnino's sun-soaked coming-of-age film Call Me by Your Name (2017). The American-French actor played a lovestruck teenager in the film set in Lombardy, which earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor.

Since then, he has starred in Greta Gerwig’s Little Women and Lady Bird, and more recently, Guadagnino's romantic horror film Bones and All, rising to fame with his cheekbones, compelling talent and curly locks.

So it’s hardly surprising that Chanel has tapped into Timothée’s allure, announcing the 27-year-old is the new face of the iconic men’s fragrance, Bleu De Chanel this week; with a new campaign shot by Mario Sorrenti, alongside a film directed by Martin Scorsese. This comes just after the announcement of actress Whitney Peak as the new face of Coco Mademoiselle, cementing Chanel’s celebration of a new wave of creative icons.

With blockbuster roles on the horizon, Dune Part Two’s upcoming August premiere, alongside Zendaya, the much-anticipated Willy Wonka, with co-stars Hugh Grant and Olivia Colman, and a new blockbuster Bob Dylan biopic, the future looks bright for Timothée and this new partnership with Chanel opens an exciting new chapter for the star.
