Patty by Molly Goddard and Tim Walker
It’s all happening at once for Molly Goddard. Last month, the 29-year-old designer took the top prize from the BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund of a year’s mentorship and £200,000 – and now, she’s unveiled her first book in collaboration with photographer, Tim Walker. Named after her pet guinea pig Patty (because, why the heck not?!), the Limited Edition copy keeps it in the family by documenting those individuals closest to her – including her grandmother ‘Granny Anne’ and model Erin O’Connor – styled by her sister, Alice, in designs that span from the 2012 BA collection right up to her most recent offering.

Alaïa: Livre de Collection, The Secret Alchemy of a Fashion Show
In tribute to the master couturier, Azzedine Alaïa – also a longtime friend of publisher Prosper Assouline – Maison Assouline has plundered its archives to re-edition the 1992 compilation, Alaïa: Livre de Collection, The Secret Alchemy of a Fashion Show. Providing a window into the world of haute couture and all that goes into creating a fashion show – from the fabrics, colours and décor, to the emotions and the people running it – this collectors’ book (originally printed following what was then believed to be Alaïa’s final runway show) affords an intimate look behind-the-scenes at the work of a creative genius.

Disturbia by Gucci and Peter Schlesinger
In the latest instalment of a Limited Edition publication series – previous collaborators include Nick Waplington and Derek Ridgers – Alessandro Michele of Gucci has called on artist and photographer, Peter Schlesinger, to capture the House’s Pre-Fall 2018 collection in Disturbia, set against the atmospheric architectural, eerie and urban backdrops of Rome. Staged in locations evocative of Dario Argento’s cult horror films ‘Inferno’ and ‘L’Uccello dalle Piume di Cristallo’ (The Bird With the Crystal Plumage) and peppered with excerpts from the former throughout its pages, the photobook uses artistic cues from cinema to take its readers on a dynamic visual journey.
