Anthea Hamilton: The Prude
Last year, Turner Prize nominee, Anthea Hamilton, proved the talk of the town with her installation for the Tate Britain Commission, in collaboration with Jonathan Anderson’s Loewe.

So, naturally, we were intrigued for what her forthcoming solo exhibition, The Prude, at the Thomas Dane Gallery would have in store for us… Not much has been revealed thus far – however, rest assured that you can expect a combination of objects and an immersive installation, with a heavy dose of florals and kimonos in tow. Watch this space!

Anthea Hamilton: The Prude runs from 7 March until 18 May, 2019 at 3 & 11 Duke Street, St. James’s, SW1Y. Click here to learn more.

Renaissance Nude
No epochs are more synonymous with the artistic ‘nude’ than the 15th and 16th Centuries, which saw the Masters of the Renaissance – from Michelangelo to Leonardo, Titan and Raphael – take on a renewed interest in ancient Greek and Roman art. Copying from classical models, while experimenting with naturalistic approaches and non-religious matter, the artists created pivotal works that became central to European art.

Now, these full-scale paintings, bronze statuettes, anatomical studies and jewel-like illustrations are being brought together at the Royal Academy of Arts to shed light on this visual tradition… It’s a can’t-miss moment that’ll make for an excellent conversation starter!

The Renaissance Nude runs from 3 March until 2 June, 2019 at The Royal Academy of Arts, The Sackler Wing of Galleries, Burlington House, Royal Academy of Arts, W1J 0BD. Click here to book tickets.
