Within fashion, when you think of of safety pin motifs, neon shades and elements of bare skin only one brand comes to mind: Versace. Founded by Gianni Versace and later helmed by his sister Donatella after his passing in 1997, the fashion house has continuously been on the forefront of the industry for its famed catwalk shows. Lest we forget J Lo's return to the catwalk wearing that low plunging jungle print dress in the SS20 show, or when Gianni enlisted choreographer Maurice Béjart to create a ballet to go with this SS98 menswear show. Through Versace Catwalk: The Complete Collections, these moments can easily be relived for time to come.

Written by esteemed fashion critic Tim Blanks, this gold-covered compendium gives an extensive history of the most momentous Versace collections. Starting with SS88, each of the shows have introductory text explaining the designer's influences as well as an array of images depicting the essence of the clothes. At the beginning of the tome, biography's of the founder and the current artistic director explain their rise to their positions, and altogether give a comprehensive understanding of the brand's world.

With 632 pages to go through, even the most knowledgable of fans will be surprised as to what they may find out.
