The Vivienne Foundation officially launched this week, aiming to “honour, protect, and continue” the legacy of Dame Vivienne Westwood’s life and activism. The late designer, who passed away on December 29th of last year, championed and campaigned for four pillars of change during her career to halt climate change, stop war, defend human rights and protest capitalism.

Initially founded in 2019 the not-for-profit organisation will work with NGOs (non-governmental organisations) and individuals to raise awareness and stimulate change across these four categories.

“Stop Climate Change. This is a fight for the very existence of the human race. And that of the planet. The most important weapon we have is public opinion. Become a freedom fighter” - Vivienne Westwood
