But every once in a while a trend comes out of left field that throws you, only for you to eventually realise what all the fuss is about… it’s so, so good.

This season, thigh high boots are back in a big way. Whether it’s the striped ROKSANDA pair that Caroline wears above, Altuzarra’s floral “Elliot” or Saint Laurent’s Swarovski-encrusted “Nikki” embellished with 3,000 crystals. Or, lest we mention the skin tight Balenciaga “knife” thigh highs that come in bold shades and soft velvets (Lily Aldridge wore a blood red pair under a Ralph Lauren white silk gown to this year’s Met Gala). We’re craving thighs-the-limit heels made to disappear under flowy skirts and long dresses.
