Let’s cut to the chase… London’s rent prices are through the roof. For the majority of young designers, opening a store within the M25 is little more than a pipe dream – let alone setting up shop in zone one.

Socially-driven art, design and architecture collective Something & Son is on a mission to change all that, challenging the status-quo in the hopes of contributing to a better future for the Capital’s bright young things.

The solution? To offer affordable, ever-coveted retail spaces and a mentor network via its experimental bricks-and-mortar concept store, 50m. Slap bang in the heart of SW at Belgravia’s new hub for creative enterprise, Eccleston Yards, it promises to nurture talent and provide invaluable advice for designers on the rise.

Watch the film to learn more about the project from Tracey Suen, Project Lead for 50M; Paul Smyth, Co-Founder of Something & Son; and Ryan Lo, one of the inaugural London-based designers showcasing his collection in the space.
