What? Superga’s classic silhouettes with a spin, by way of ALEXACHUNG.

Why? Consider your off-duty footwear rotation sorted.

Italian summers are on our mind. First came Other Stories’ bath and body range, Fornillo, which bottled the seaside scents of Positano – and now, the latest footwear collaboration to note channels the laid-back spirit of said coastline.

You may have thought Alexa Chung was only preoccupied with bringing back 90s jelly shoes in a big way, but you’d be wrong! Bedazzled jellies aside, for Spring/Summer 2019, the designer has been busy collaborating with Italian soft sneaker stalwart, Superga, for whom she’s been a long-term style ambassador.

The partnership between the brand and her namesake label, ALEXACHUNG, sees Superga’s classic plimsol and short rainproof boot styles reimagined in a palette of mustard yellow, emerald green and white, with Alexa’s signature ‘A’ emblazoned on the tongue.

Our personal favourite? The mustard yellow colourway – crafted in satin – for its bright, sunny take on a classic silhouette, that makes for failsafe fun flourish.
