Wrapping up today, all eyes have been on Copenhagen Fashion Week the past four days – with the likes of Samsøe Samsøe and Brøgger setting the benchmark for Scandi-cool with their Spring/Summer 2020 offerings

Part of said Copenhagen clique is Royal College of Art-trained, Cecilie Bahnsen, who, for Spring/Summer 2020 found inspiration in husband-and-wife artistic duo, Christo and Jeanne-Claud, and their penchant for huge spathes of fabric. Alongside this offering, the Danish designer also teamed up with fellow Dane, jewellery designer, Sophie Bille Brahe. Born out of a friendship that dates back to their days at the RCA, the capsule was a long-time coming...

Working in unison with their synchronicity for Scandi simplicity, the 22-piece dreamy capsule is a celebration of refined craftmanship and quality, for which both brands hold paramount. While Sophie’s jewellery prowess favours centuries-old techniques (pearls being her forte), Cecilie’s silhouettes play with proportions, couture-like techniques and close the waste-loop with an upcycling process – (the patchwork of the Tessa dress being leftover fabric from past seasons).

Exclusive to Net-a-Porter, the marriage covers all bases for (as we are advocating) a head-to-toe wardrobe refresh. From ready-to-wear (read: live-in-all-day) pieces that boast appliquéd three-dimensional tulle flowers and pearlescent beads in a floral pattern, to 14-karat gold earrings set with a cluster of freshwater pearls, and kicks complete with faux pearl-embellished shells, the offering is an intricate and delicious display.

First come, first served – so waste no time in jostling to the front of the proverbial queue. Fill up your basket with abandon...
