The quest for the perfect flat shoe is never-ending. If it isn't a Birkenstock or a Havaianas flip-flop – where toes hang out freely and wantonly – then the summer shoe search can be a tough one. Nothing sweat inducing, but still elegant, a shoe that won't get tattered amongst London showers and puddles, but not so hardwearing you have to have a triple-edged sole that clumps around town.

Enter the Jimmy Choo Goodwin flat. With its perfectly rounded square toe shape (yes, you read that right) and thick Mary Jane strap laden with a bejewelled clasp... It’s ideal in its flatness and glamour.

Next to my flip-flops this summer is this more formal of flats – and I have them in black suede and the Dorothy silver glitter version for evenings when I want to add some foot bling, without the height or heel pain.
