From tulle to tie-dye, screen-printing to hand-stitching, Katie Ann McGuigan’s collections are a rich feast for the eyes.

With sub-cultures her starting points for collections, Katie’s designs arrive as a fusion of different ideas with conventionally ‘masculine' sportswear tropes subverted into innately feminine pieces.

The Irish-born, London-based designer first showed at the Discovery Lab last season showing 18 looks – featuring heavy leathers, sporty nylons and chunky wools – that pooled inspiration from the Japanese Biker Gang, BOSOZOKU. Ever since, we’ve been hooked and waiting patiently for her next move.

Ahead of her presentation back in the Discovery Lab later today, tune into Katie divulging her inspirations for the season.
