What... Salvatore Ferragamo's key bag style for Fall/Winter 2019.

Why… Because this new compact 'Boxyz' model in carmine red will be just as en vogue in a centennial.

With every creation a bundle of exquisite craftsmanship, timelessness and tradition, we've deduced that Italian heavyweight house, Salvatore Ferragamo, colludes with the Roman Gods in the best way possible.

The latest to come out of such a secret agreement is Fall/Winter's newest classic style: the Boxyz top handle bag. With the clue in its boxy moniker, the bag arrives suitably square-bodied with gold-tone hardware to boot... Ciao Bella! Design credentials aside, the name is also a cryptic acronym in reference to three generations – xyz – to drive home its cross-generational appeal.

As is the case with all things to come through the heritage brand, the smooth calfskin style – in four colourways (perhaps one for each season?) – is a classic beauty that will be just as coveted in decades to come. The question isn't where to wear it, but where not to...  However, in keeping with the incoming palette of autumn, we'll take the first in our collection in red to wear alongside its best bedfellows: neutrals like camel, cream and brown.
