Because there’s no place quite like the Great British high street – from its niche independents, to seasonal Pop Ups and those expansive yet elegant department stores – Because Magazine is on a mission to champion the bricks-and-mortar of London in all its glory. Each week, we’ll beeline to the rails of our favourite retailers to scope out the must-have pieces and in-store exclusives that are more than worth making an effort for. This week we're on Marylebone Lane.

Popping-up for one month only, New York-based fashion designer Misha Nonoo brings her sustainable ethos to our Capital, with her very first pop-up shop.

A curation of fashion and beauty, with sound healing classes (care of Re:Mind studio), calligraphy masterclasses, intimate workshops and facials in tow, the pop-up makes for one of London’s first sustainable concept stores for the modern “woMN on the go”.

Known best for revolutionising the meaning of sustainable fashion with her on-demand manufacturing practices, Misha is an innovator through-and-through – and her latest project comes as no exception. At the core of the pop-up, Misha has hand-selected an assortment of brands with ethically-savvy standards, including Aurelia Probiotic Skincare, Austin Austin Organics, EYM Naturals, Silou London and The Laundress, which will sit alongside her classic ‘Create Your 8’ capsule collection that she offers every season.

On the launch of the pop-up, we met Misha and asked her to do the impossible of curating her curated edit to just three.

What… Black Blazer.

Why… The blazer really sums up the philosophy of the brand in that it's so versatile. It functions as a blazer dress, you can wear it in the morning to work and then if you have drinks later, or you can just button it up and wear it as a blazer dress if you're going out to dinner.

What... The Husband Shirt in linen.

Why... The Husband Shirt is one of our most popular products – it’s something I wear at least two to three times a week, and now it comes in white linen which is perfect for the summer. You can also choose between gold or silver hardware depending on what colour jewellery you wear.

What… Aurelia Probiotics’ Skin Oil.

Why…  I love this oil because it is all natural, probiotic-inspired and it has a wonderful smell. Plus, it's female-founded.

Support bricks-and-mortar: visit  70 – 72 Marylebone Lane between 1st to 30th June.
