Imagine a world imbued with colour; one animated by pattern and peppered with print… The magnificent vision of Dame Zandra Rhodes, you hold in your mind’s eye.

Today, we’re celebrating that world as the brand celebrates its golden anniversary with a retrospective exhibition, ‘50 Years Of Fabulous’. Opening today at the Fashion Textiles Museum, the exhibition tells the story of the fuschia pink-haired visionary through classic lamé gowns, ankle-length kaftans of 1969, screen-printed silk chiffon and so much more.

Desperate to get up close and personal with her seminal designs, we rooted through the archive to pull our favourite looks that sum up five fabulous decades of design.
