If lockdown has given us anything, it's the excuse to get crafty! During the last couple of months, the Because team have learned how to create a flower bouquet, and how to brow pinch at home, and we're on an endeavour to learn more.

This week, we're speaking to Bella Singleton about how best to wear the most underrated accessory: the scarf. Her eponymous label started as an ode to the fabric we swing around our necks, and has now grown to encompass a selection of ready-to-wear pieces. Find out more about the different ways the accessory can be worn with Bella's guidance below.

The Circus for the 'back to basics' neckerchief
This print has a vintage feel to it, with bold blocks of colour and overlaid lines – can you spot the eyes watching you?

Wear around the neck with a leather jacket for a feminine vs masculine look. Make sure you don't tie it too tight so it has an effortless feel to it, and if you want to change things up, wear it on your bag, wrist or jeans!

Luna
for the 'pirate' look
The Luna scarf is perfect for summer, with it's bright blues, pinks and orange, it is crying out for a festival – aren't we all!

Add a couple of grips to the front of the scarf to the side of your forehead to help hold it in place if needed. Wear it with a simple slip dress and chunky boots.

Planets
for the 'messy bun' scarf style
The Planets scarf has a french girl vibe to it: understated elegance. And because it's such a lightweight silk, it's super easy to knot and tie.
Tie it under your bun so you just see the length hanging down your back, or bring it back and tie again on top of the bun.

P.S. £5 from every sale of this scarf goes to Friends of the Earth!
