Sustainable Style

Sustainability is always in style, and what better day to champion this than on Earth Day. The pandemic may have stopped any climate change awareness being shared in person, but it can’t stop us digitally supporting those who are striding towards a greener fashion future.

With the fashion industry accounting for over eight percent of global climate impact, it’s paramount that brands and consumers start to take responsibility in being more eco-consciously minded. Times are definitely changing: retailers like Matches Fashion are promoting sustainable brands on their shop, designer’s are looking into reusing old materials (E.L.V Denim only uses denim off-cuts to make their clothes) and new technologies are showing that we can reuse non-recyclable products (read: The I Am a Plastic bag by Anya Hindmarsh) instead of making more with new materials.

Here are some more sustainable staples you should have on your radar…

Baum Und Pferdgarten
Founded in 1999, this Scandi brand has been one of the leading fashion houses in Denmark for decades. Their timeless aesthetic has made them a favourite for fashion folk, and each piece is curated with the hope it’ll still be a firm favourite in the years to come.
