Plato first said that necessity is the mother of invention, and he wasn't wrong. As we enter into our seventh week of working from home, the Because team have been discussing the things that keep us sane and optimistic in these uncertain days. As a platform for sharing the things you should care about, we've wondered how we do that in a light-hearted way.

We all agree that what keeps us happy, makes us cheerful and fosters our dreams is in fact the act of celebrating desirable things made by creative people – objects we could happily treasure – and sharing the manifestations of ideas that become reality.

So as we are taking care in our homes, we bring you the latest instalment of Fantasy Wardrobes, shot at home and, with a little digital magic, layered with some of our favourite pieces we've found online. So with a bit of invention and a lot of necessity, we hope to show that the online world is our oyster and do Plato proud.

Caroline Issa conjures up new outfits for the summer...
Forte Forte is such a beautiful, under-the-radar Italian brand with delightful shops. It's a treasure chest of a label – once you open it up, you keep discovering the most incredible keepsakes and details and collectibles you'll forever treasure. Giada Forte started the brand back in 2002 with her brother Paolo, and is the kind of designer one can only describe as thoughtful. Made in Italy, Forte Forte was sustainable before it was fashionable, focused on creating pieces that were less about seasons or collections and more about plugging the gaps of a wardrobe using fabrics, textiles and colours that are positively delicious.

Forte Forte's stores (there's one in South Kensington, London) are like jewel boxes – from the fixtures, to the furniture and the clothes that hang inside – the minute you enter, you are in a dream world of gentle beauty. Each store around the world, be it in Paris, Milan, etc is different but all done up with Giada's exquisite taste at the forefront. It's retail with a difference...

And from April 25th to May 10th, 50% of the proceeds of all online sales made through forte_forte.com will be donated to the non–profit organization Cesvi, to fight the Covid–19 emergency in Italy. The charity initiative will help to fund projects to protect health workers and carers, provide home care services for people aged over 65, and offer psychological support to all those who have witnessed the horrors of Covid–19 at work, as well as their families.

Shop consciously, for forever. You'll be so glad to discover this heartfelt brand, if you haven't already! You're welcome!
