Trainer aficionado's: listen up. The trainer that first caught our eyes during Paris Fashion Week Mens is now available to buy, and we can't wait to be strutting the streets in this new style.

Way back in January, Valentino debuted a new collaboration with Japanese Sportswear brand, Onitsuka Tiger, and it's been playing on our heart strings ever since. The recognisable MEXICO 66 SD trainer has been reimagined by Valentino’s creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, in four Valentino-esque bold, and bright colours. Expect to see neon, orange, yellow, pink and white trainers, with tone-on-tone matching laces, that boast a dramatic Valentino V logo on the shoe's exterior. For those not so joyous about the bold colour palette, look to the more retro styles that include the traditional tricolour tones of blue, white and red tiger stripes. The kicks also boast a marshmallowy cushioning in the midsole and a slip-resistant outsole, proving that style needn't come at the cost of comfort.

While this pairing of powerhouses is iconic in its own right, the MEXICO 66 SD trainer has forever had cult status. Originally designed for the Japanese team as they competed in the 1968 Mexico Olympic games, the shoe has stood the test of time and permeated into popular culture, as this collaboration follows one with Givenchy in 2019. We'll be sprinting through the rest of 2020 in these kicks, excited to see what the future holds for this style.
