Last year, the sustainably inclined fashion folk will have squealed with excitement when Prada announced their Re-Nylon range; their iconic nylon bags but remade with an earth-friendly ECONYL alternative.
Back to the present, there's even more to get excited about. Ahead of its global launch in September, you can be one of the first people to get your hands on their new accessories shapes, as well as a full men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collection at the Prada Re-Nylon pop-up in Selfridges, all made with the regenerated nylon.
“We were thrilled to be able to launch Prada Re-Nylon in our Corner Shop as part of Project Earth,” shares Sebastian Manes, the Buying and Merchandising Director of Selfridges, who goes on to explain that their eco-scheme is a “transformational sustainability initiative that sets out to change the way we do business forever.” Very much inline with the project's ethos, the pop-up also includes short movies produced by the National Geographic which expresses the aims, intentions and actuality of Prada Re-Nylon.
As well as a selection of clothing on offer, you can find a choice of lifestyle products we never thought we needed. Sebastian's favourite – “I have my eye on an exclusive lunchbox and water bottle.” – is one of our own, and we'll be decking up in everything oh-so Prada right away!
The Prada Re-Nylon Pop-Up is at Selfridges, on 400 Oxford St, Marylebone, London W1A 1AB and is open until September 27th.
