A new season means new clothes. However, like people, clothes do not exist in isolation. When investing it’s important to think about how a new piece will fit with what is already hanging in your wardrobe. For a sustainable approach to consuming fashion (and without having to Marie Kondo your wardrobe every couple of months) a central item with which to work around offers manifold styling potential: an opportunity to experiment with proportions, texture and colour.

With that in mind, we’re offering different ways to style some statement pieces - showing that you don’t just have to stick to neutrals when thinking long-term.

This week we're highlighting a billowing Simone Rocha blouse whose blue and white print is inspired by Delft Blue pottery.

Style One
This vintage-inspired voluminous Simone Rocha blouse is made from printed blue and white organza with a rounded collar and pintuck-pleated bodice. Add some contemporary edge with these wide leg jeans from Chloé. And, for a smart-casual look, finish the edit with these vintage-style 80s Basketball sneakers by RE/DONE.

Style Two
COURREGES in known for their 1960s-inspired designs and this black A-line skirt is true to form for the maison (in fact, André Courrèges is even said to have invented the mini skirt).  The under layer of cream plissé-chiffon which peeks out from the hem parallels the floaty Simone Rocha blouse for a cohesive, playful look. These satin fisherman sandals from Marni add an element of functional elegance.

Style Three
Contrast the Romanticism of the blouse’s diaphanous proportions by pairing it with these straight leg jeans from Golden Goose. The square toe Fabrizio Viti loafers give the edit a polished togetherness and this tan version of Jil Sander’s Sombrero bag provides both practicality and flair.
