Why... because this bow turns convention on its head
Part of Paris-based jeweler Annalise Michelson’s ‘Wire’ collection, this sleek linear bow is the antithesis of prissy. The collection was inspired by both harsh industrial materials and the sensuality and eroticism of Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki’s work: hence the contrast between the hardness of the metal and the softness of its curved form.
Michelson explains that she wants her creations to “echo the complexity of the women” who wear them. Though simple in design, this hairpiece is manifold in meaning.
