What… The Viva Shoe

Why… not invest in a virgin white version of the newest shoe icon?

Salvatore Ferragamo was a shoe god. His inventedness and innovation in shoe shapes, sizes, silhouettes are all on display in Florence at the Ferragamo Museum. Creative Director Paul Andrew has drawn inspiration from the original Salvatore's daring and recently introduced the Viva, the baby sister of the Vara (that iconic, bow-tied, round toed pump).

The Viva, slightly sleeker, with a pointed toe and larger bow, has a shape assertive enough to be worn with leather trousers and a punk attitude or the opposite, a romantic, diaphanous dress.

Making its first appearance in Ferragamo’s Spring Summer 2020 collection, we predict the Viva will grow in stature. Wear it with ankle socks and it has enough presence to traverse those liminal spring months, whilst also being light enough to see you into summer.

The Viva shoe is available here.
