Stefania Vadiani is one of those brands that has a unique identity. Those who know it will be able to spot someone who's wearing the label a mile off, as the louder-than-life vintage prints and ornate details are hard to miss. "We celebrate the traditions and culture of fine Italian fashion," explains the woman behind the label, Stefania. "The collections combine craftsmanship and details with architectural volumes and sculptural silhouettes to offer a contemporary take on femininity."

The inspiration? Movies from the '50s, '60s and '70s that Stefania used to watch with her grandmother. "The main characters in these movies have always been so innocent and beautiful in my eyes. Their costumes, their daily life, the colours, their environment; it always fascinated me. This almost effortless elegance is what pushed me to bring back this aesthetic to my creations." But it's not just a bold aesthetic that drives Stefania. Since the get-go, her brand has been built with a sustainable and philanthropic ethos. 99% of her collections are made up of vegan leather, organic cotton and recycled fabrics, and all of the fabrics have been certified by OEKO-TEX®, meaning that they're certifiably free of harmful chemicals and are safe for human use. Instead of burning their old season stock, Stefania donates it to womens charities or other non-profits that are in need. "It's not something we really advertise. On one hand it's part of our identity, on the other it's something I do from the bottom of my heart," shares Stefania, who this year decided to help those from her homeland of Greece. "As in many countries, Greece experienced awful wildfires, so I decided to give our pieces to people who as a result have suffered."

Is this founder's life just as colourful as her brand? Well, you can find out from the 8Qs she answered below.

What is a book that you always come back to and why?
The Little Prince. The story follows a young prince who visits various planets in space, including Earth.  Despite it being a children's book, The Little Prince makes observations about life, adults and human nature. It’s the importance of looking beneath the surface to find the real truth of everything in life.

This book brings me purity and beautiful memories.

What is your morning ritual like?
15 minutes of contemplation and then off to work.

What is the best piece of advice you've received?
From my parents: to always keep myself grounded and at the same time, to start from my roots.

What is an ongoing goal of yours?
To continue learning how to apply new techniques to my designs, for a more sustainable future, to help as many countries and people as I can, and to see different women interpreting our collections.

What's your party trick?
I dance until the sun comes up.

If you could travel anywhere right now, where would it be?
I’ve managed to travel a little during Covid, but it would be my postponed trip to Japan.

Name something that you're grateful for.
My family, my friends, and my team who are always supporting me, encouraging me and believing in me.

Name three things that you can't live without.
Travelling, my two cats and dance.
