What… a pair of COS x Yuma Labs sunglasses

Why… Because their 100% recycled material content means that they'll protect our eyes without harming the earth.

With longer days ahead and daffodils sprouting left, right and centre, it's official: spring has definitely sprung. And as we put away our winter wools and bring lighter layers to the forefronts of our wardrobes, the missing puzzle piece for our #AlfrescoApril outfits are a pair of sunnies.

Here to provide the necessary accessory this season is high-street stalwart COS, whose first foray into eyewear is a collaboration with Yuma Labs. The aforementioned Antwerp-based company specialises in making sunglasses in the most circular and sustainable way possible, and this collection is no different. Every pair is made with 100% recycled plastic, and can be recycled again to be made into another new pair of sunnies – simply send them back to Yuma Lab to restart their lifecycle.

From traditional black cat eye styles to quirky caramel-hued hexagonal shapes, these shades encapsulate COS' Scandi effervescence in a timeless and covetable way. We've set out hearts on these chunky square frames, which give a taste of the 70s without being as extroverted as the decade's aesthetic can sometimes be. Pull these over your eyes to enjoy the sun, knowing that their creation hasn't harmed the planet.
