It seems that Fendi aren't the only luxury brand that have us desperate to be outdoors! Not so long after the Rome-based fashion house released their ode to the great outdoors at Selfridges – read: tent, thermos, Polaroid camera and paddle board! – Dior has debuted a designer automobile that's made for high-speed travel: a Vespa 946 Christian Dior scooter with a coordinating trunk.

While the scooter may only be of use when the sky is cloud-free and sunny – a rarity in the UK – the accompanying trunk should be travelled with whatever the season. Made by Dior ateliers, expect to find the Dior Oblique motif – which was designed by Marc Bohan in 1967 – plastered all over, as well as metal elements with an antiqued gold effect and handles and details in smooth calf leather.

Synonymous with high glamour thanks to Audrey Hepburn in Love in the Afternoon, a trunk is the chicest of way of traversing your things from A to B. And with Dior's latest style on offer, we're predicting many adventures to be had with this in tow.

See the Vespa 946 Christian Dior scooter and the trunk at the Dior pop-up in Selfridges, 400 Oxford St, London W1C 1JS.
