During the first lockdown, the Because team fantasised about all the beautiful things they wished that they could be wearing, as a way of keeping their spirits high and their minds inspired.

A year on and with the end of our third lockdown in sight, they're still dreaming of what they could be wearing and what they could be doing, but this time, they're transporting their fantasy wardrobes to another part of the globe

Desperately wanting to travel anywhere where they won't hear the mutterings of an English accent, the Because team have imagined what they would be wearing if they could go anywhere in the world. This week, project co-ordinator, Nasreen Osman, shares where she would rather be, and what she'll be wearing.

The grey overcast skies belied the sticky heat and humidity that my friends and I experienced while in Taipei and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually miss it. Now that the sun is rearing its head in London, I find myself reminiscing on hotter (and more social) holidays abroad.

Taipei is a city that beautifully marries wild nature and contemporary life. You don't have to walk far to see tall concrete buildings framed by overgrown plants and trailing leaves hanging from balconies stories high. Strolling along the streets, you'll find me wearing something akin to this Totême matching silk shirt and trousers, which I love for the simple logo print and loose fit. Slip on some comfy Aeyde slippers and this perfectly-sized Neous bag for all your essentials and you're good to go. If you're wondering why I'm wearing long sleeves and floor length trousers, well, let's just say I'm SPF obsessed and can't stand direct sunlight, no matter the temperature.

I'm a simple girl — give me some lantern-lined streets, teahouses and souvenir store owners bellowing out bargains and I'll tell you I had a grand 'ole time. It used to be a bother squeezing through a bustling street full of tourists (like this one in the Ruifang District) but now, it's a novel memory. Were I to visit again, I'd be amongst the crowd wearing this flattering Matteau crop top paired with these Weekend Max Mara culottes and some trusty Aeyde heeled boots. Oh and once again, a long sleeved white shirt from Totême because I believe in breathable layers to beat the heat!

"Take it, quick!" This is my normal response to being forced to take a "touristy" photo. I despise it. But it's hard not to take at least one cringeworthy photo when you're in Taipei, where it's as much a metropolis city as it is beautiful and historical. I remember my travel buddies and I caught a rare moment in front of the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall with only a few people in sight. So, our photo op session went something like this: wide-eyed, unashamed and posing for the camera in a Three Graces London dress (with a square neckline that I adore), a simply gorgeous Completed Works necklace and Veja trainers so I can strike all manner of poses.
