We're excited to premiere Hood London's visual feast of a film with the inimitable Dita Von Teese, which launches their second collaboration collection together at the same time. With over 20 years of industry experience between Hood London co-founders Adèle Mildred and Gabrielle Djanogly, they relaunched the brand in 2019 away from its millinery collective roots to become a luxury hat label designed by them in London.

This newest collaboration pumps up the glamour quotient, as only Dita can, and has us hankering for flowers in our hair, netting over our face and any Hood London headpiece we can grab.

"It was an enormously fun project to make and an international one too - albeit from the comfort of our homes," shares Adèle and Gabrielle on the eve of the premiere. "The film was shot in Dita’s house in Los Angeles by Albert Sanchez, the narrator recorded in Paris before it was edited in London.

Our mission through HOOD has always been to reimagine millinery as a fundamental part of the modern wardrobe with a focus on wearability and sustainability. With the Dita collection we are able to tap into our ultra-feminine side to create luxury dressing up for grown-ups!"

"We are approached our second Dita collection in a similar way to the first - designing and making the hats that Dita wants to wear. It’s an extended wish list! After an initial design discussion, we made samples and sent them to Dita in Los Angeles, from there it was a back and forward 9 month long process. Dita has a very discerning eye, and it really is a collaboration in the true sense of the word."

For those of us who want to partake in the magic, the head pieces will be made to order in the Hood London studio, with a production process rooted in sustainable practice. They’ve used dead stock flowers, vintage cherries from Paris and have 4 vegan friendly hats in the collections as well.
