In collaboration news, this is an exciting one. Dior has tapped the 2019 LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Creators winner Thebe Magugu to create a capsule collection in aid of the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project. The CTAOP is a foundation created in 2007 by actress Charlize Theron (and fragrance ambassador to the house of Dior) to support the health, education and safety of youth in Southern Africa, her home country.

Thebe's strong prints and feminine designs has re-interpreted some of the most iconic Dior pieces to dream up, through his contemporary feminist vision, a reinterpretation of the iconic New Look punctuated with his own stylistic codes. Think bold graphics and pleated skirts. Thebe Magugu, at 26, was the youngest designer in the LVMH selection for 2019 and the first African person to receive this prestigious distinction and so far has continued to impress with his collections and a recent upcycling project with Pier Paolo Piccioli of Valentino.

This limited-edition capsule was celebrated with a donation made to CTAOP on behalf of Dior.
