Back in June 2022, Dsquared2 Canadian design duo Dean and Dan Caten appeared on the runway in matching T-shirts after presenting a collection rooted in Italian luxury with nods to bohemian chic. Their T-shirts read “My home is in my head,” and incorporated a colourful hibiscus graphic on top of a portrait of Bob Marley looking poignantly into the distance.

Known for its merging of Italian heritage with contemporary, culturally-led ready-to-wear, for spring-summer, the Milan-based brand paid tribute to the legendary Jamaican singer, musician, and songwriter Bob Marley, with a capsule collection made in collaboration with the Bob Marley Foundation. A Jamaican non-profit organisation that celebrates the life and legacy of the musician through community upliftment initiatives focusing on education, sports, culture, healthcare and sustainable development.

Honouring the artist who paved the way for reggae, the collection is now available to purchase online. Featuring a selection of intimate portraits and quotes by the artist, combined with custom graphics, printed on a tote bag, T-shirts, sweatshirts and denim labels. Colours from Jamaica run through the collection: yellow, red and green are graphically drawn over portraits of Marley with Dsquared2 logos in abundance.

Bob Marley Foundation for Dsquared2 has just launched in Dsquared2 stores, on the website.
