Easter Weekend is right around the corner which can mean but one thing: a four-day weekend! For many of us, the time off means a trip away: a well-overdue visit back to our hometowns for some quality family time, or scheduling in much-needed catch-ups with our besties.

From lazy mornings under the duvet and a gentle Sunday stroll in the park to an annual family Easter egg hunt or daring dip in the sea, whatever your plans to ring in the Easter break, it’s time to say goodbye to your stuffy and smart working wardrobe and enter the longest free weekend of the year in style.

While many of us have already shed our heavy layers and broken out into spring florals since the clocks sprung forward and the sun made a few welcome appearances, this weekend gives us the ultimate timestamp to usher in our spring wardrobes.

For those in need of some inspiration, we’re here to suggest some ways to style your Easter Bank Holiday:

SUNDAY STROLL

Will the weather be as sunny as the optimistic forecast? Our fingers and toes are crossed. This weekend, turn your average commute into a stylish stroll with these shimmering Jigsaw jeans. While not the most subtle, they can easily be toned down with a simple t-shirt and a pair of comfy but cute Asics Gel Kayanos trainers. In the likely event of shifting April weather, throw on an Arket cotton trench for an ultra-cool yet cosy vibe, styled with sculptural Cos earrings and this season’s must-have 16 Arlington Kikka leather bag – for ultimate chic on the move.

LAZY MORNING

Let’s face it, come Sunday it's likely we’ll be feeling a little bit jaded after reaping the rewards of the four-day weekend to the max. Whether it’s a lazy Sunday morning in bed or calling it in early and sliding under the duvet for a film marathon the eve, lounge in style with this chic two-piece pyjama set by Cos  – best paired with cosy Mohair-blend socks by Raey. Once wrapped up like a burrito in an organic cotton duvet set by Tekla, indulge in your favourite treatments in the comfort of your own home – try Glow Recipe’s intensely nourishing avocado eye mask or Drunk Elephant’s Polypeptide Cream, to reinstate your glow after an eventful weekend. Finally, for the all-important uninterrupted beauty sleep, opt for Slip’s silk eye mask for ultimate luxury during your forty winks.

EASTER EGG HUNT

A weekend highlight for some, the Easter egg hunt is no bunny business. Little siblings, nieces and nephews aren’t the only ones getting in on the fun this weekend, and to ensure successful scouting, Le Monde Beryl ballet flats are key. Making the most of the spring weather, keep it classic with this sleeveless midi dress by Cos and embrace the season’s pastels with Frankie Shop’s pink oversized blazer. Style with By Alona’s floral gold earrings (they scream spring) and Loewe’s tortoiseshell shades. You can always look to Loewe’s accessories for some whimsy, and this bunny bag is perfectly on-theme for the all-important egg collection.

SPRING SWIM

For those feeling extra brave, this weekend could mean a brisk dip. Yes, you read that right. Cold-water swimming is a thing now (or so says Wim Hof!) so why not take the plunge? The search for the best swimwear does not have to be restricted to summer months and this textured one-piece by Mango is ideal for those braving the chilly British waters. Once out, and when the real cold sets in, quickly dry off with Tekla’s pinstripe towelling, pop on this airy cotton poplin shirt by the Frankie Shop, and slip into some cushy Extreme Cashmere trackies and a pair of Birkenstock Arizonas. Top the look off with a baby pink beanie to lock in all the warmth and run back to the car with everything stuffed in your chic raffia Loewe tote – this is brave meets beauty!
