Inspired by ‘The Chariot’ tarot card, which aptly symbolises overcoming conflicts and moving forward in a positive direction, emerging fashion brand Feben, founded by Feben Vemmenby, has unveiled its latest collection for AW2023. The Beyonce-approved designer, who was commissioned straight out of Central Saint Martins to design for the star in 2019, is making waves on the London Fashion Week scene with her exciting womenswear brand that merges technical skill with show-stopping chic.

Featuring fluid satin dresses that reveal classical sculptured torsos and bums; draped gold and emerald skirts layered over sequins and loose trousers jangling with painstakingly beaded details; the collection highlighted the designer's expertise in form and fabrication.

Sharp tailoring created contemporary armour for everyday battles, while marigold dresses feature swooning drapes and curtain-like falls for a romantic touch. For the first time, Feben introduced sporty puffer pieces, which play on the idea of protection, baring the abdomen to create a silhouette that both protects and reveals.

New iterations of Feben's signature Twist pieces were a highlight, with gowns and minidresses in tumbling puckered satins studded with shimmering metal tokens; one example donned by musician Jorja Smith.

Feben’s brand has quickly gained recognition for its innovative designs, which unexpectedly play with texture and surface. Feben's interest in tarot and spirituality has influenced her work from the beginning, and the AW23 collection deepens this exploration. With its mix of brilliant tailoring, flowing drapes, and surprising details, Feben's AW23 collection offers a vision of strength and resilience that is both powerful and deeply romantic.
