This Spring, pop-up concepts are having a moment. Cult brands like Siedrés and Marine Serre have opened within walking distance of Oxford Circus in the past month or so. It seems like IRL experiences are a hot commodity now the world has fully opened. And you’ll be pleased to know that, just in time for summer, you can now get your swimwear fix from Hunza G’s latest bricks-and-mortar opening in Covent Garden’s Seven Dials.

Purveyors of the ‘Original Crinkle’ kini and cossies, Hunza G has been on our radar for a while now, we caught up with creative director Georgiana Huddart back in 2018, and their first retail concept in London means that you can try before you buy and get up close and personal with their swimwear ensembles. Made from super stretchy Lycra that nips and tucks in all the right places, Julia Roberts in that dress in Pretty Woman was the proto-Hunza G woman. First founded as Hunza in the ‘1980s, it’s been refreshed to the point of acting as a reference point for a new generation of women looking for sensual swimwear.

Hunza G Seven Dials will feature the brand's signature ‘modern nostalgia’ styles across their swimwear, beachwear, and accessories collections – rendered in a kaleidoscope of colours that cater to every taste. Fitted out in Hunza G pink, the space features custom femme artworks by London-based artist Alba Hodsoll, body-posi mannequins (obvs), and bespoke curved rails.

“Creating a space for our customers to come and experience, in person, who we are as a brand has been a goal since we re-launched Hunza G in 2015,” says Georgiana. More than just a shopping destination, over the summer the brand is set to announce a series of store exclusives and unique brand experiences in the space. So get your SPF 50 on and stay tuned to find out more…

The Hunza G Store can be found at 35-37 Monmouth Street in Seven Dials, Covent Garden.
