Founded in late 2011, with presentations, regular media spotlights and high-street capsule collections via Label/Mix, the Isa Arfen brand is no stranger to the world of fashion in its myriad incarnations – so much so, that it may come as surprising that this London Fashion Week season signalled the designer's first ever foray onto the runway stage.
Its carnival of colour has been met with rave reviews ever since – and rightly so! Serenaded by the joyful Melodians Steel Orchestra, creating a Portobello Road-in-high-summer atmosphere that set our senses tingling, Serafina Sama's debut catwalk collection demanded us all to sit up and take notice.
In the days leading up to her knockout display, we spoke to Serafina (the founder of Isa Arfen) to meet the woman who – unbeknownst to her – was about to become fashion's ultimate name to know.
