Plato first said that necessity is the mother of invention, and he wasn't wrong.

We still are staying home, staying safe. Not sure when we'll get back into an office. Still virtually trying on things, thankful for the sun.  We all agree that what keeps us happy, makes us cheerful and fosters our dreams is in fact the act of celebrating desirable things made by creative people – objects we could happily treasure – and sharing the manifestations of ideas that become reality.

Fantasy Wardrobes, shot at home and with a little digital magic, has layered on some of our favourite pieces we've found online, things we'd normally want to try on in the dressing room. So with a bit of invention and a lot of necessity, we hope to show that the online world is our oyster and do Plato proud.

Stores are set to open up in London as of June 15th. Will we be returning in hordes? Probably not. But I would be lying if I didn't say I was looking forward to  browsing merchandise again, though I am preparing myself for how different an experience that might be given health & safety issues with handling merchandise, trying things on, and the plethora of cautious, new behaviours we'll have to adopt.

So we're continuing with our Fantasy Wardrobe feature, using some digital magic to see what some favourite pieces just might look like. And I've been browsing one of my favourite online stores www.matchesfashion.com as I love their breadth of offer, and their consistent support for new designers, all of which sits next to an amazing edit of the biggest brands.

Look at this amazing Lola Hats straw beauty. Let's hope the sun comes back soon and we can continue basking in the glorious sun we've been so lucky to have!

I've long been a fan of Vanda Jacintho's sculptural jewellery, and if you're like me and love some joyous colour, these frosted resin pebble earrings are a fun way to add some rainbow brights to your day.

Petar Petrov is a long time wardrobe staple of mine - his suits are cut to perfection and will last you a lifetime. But then he always adds a dash of glamour, some flouncy blouse or dress that can layer well with his stricter tailoring and this silver silk-blend lamé shirt is exactly that. Add with a vintage-inspired Gucci bag that is as precious as it is (non) practical and we're laughing on the street.

The RHODE Ella dress was a phenomenon of a shape last summer, and will remain so for every summer. Loads of fabric in its (short!) skirt  makes it swishy and I love this take on a leopard print.

Come on back sun, we're ready for you!
